Cingulum
Definition
The cingulum is a white matter association fiber bundle located within the cingulate gyrus. Unlike the corpus callosum, which is a commissure connecting the two cerebral hemispheres, the cingulum is an association fiber bundle that connects cortical regions within the same cerebral hemisphere.
