Episcleral space

Spatium episclerale

Definition

Felipe Barona Lopez

The episcleral space is a virtual space between the fascial sheath of the eyeball and the sclera, allowing the eyeball to move. This space is crossed by fibers of the sclera's episcleral layer, which partially attach it to the bulbar sheath.
