Laryngeal vestibule

Vestibulum laryngis

Definition

The laryngeal vestibule is a funnel-shaped cavity, which extends from the laryngeal inlet to the vestibular folds. It is limited ventrally and cranially by the epiglottis. Dorsally to the vestibular folds, the cuneiform processes form its wall. The laryngeal vestibule opens caudally into the vestibular cleft.
