Laryngeal inlet
Aditus laryngis
Definition
The laryngeal inlet is the entrance to the larynx, bounded rostrally by the epiglottis, laterally by the aryepiglottic folds, and caudally by the arytenoid cartilage and the interarytenoid notch. The laryngeal inlet serves as the entrance to the laryngeal vestibule, which is the upper part of the laryngeal cavity extending from the laryngeal inlet to the vestibular folds.
