Malleolus medialis

Definition

The medial malleolus is a bony non articular enlargement of the distal part of tibia, medially to the cochlea. On its caudal part is flat groove called the malleolar groove, for the tendon of flexor digitorum (digitalis) muscle (and caudal tibial muscle in carnivores).
