Facies articularis proximalis

Definition

The proximal articular surface of the tibial is divided in two parts (by the intercondylar eminence and caudally by the popliteal notch), respectively surrounding the proximal aspect of the medial and lateral tibial condyles, and articulating with the corresponding femoral condyles and meniscus.
