Cochlea tibiae
Definition
The distal articular surface of tibia is called the cochlea of tibia, composed by two grooves separated by a ridge (mostly craniocaudally oriented excepted in horse where the intermediate ridge is craniolaterally oriented) for articulation with trochlea ridges of the talus for the tarsocrural joint.
