Definition

The body of ulna is smaller than the radial shaft, and three sided, presenting:

  • A lateral surface
  • A cranial surface
  • A medial surface
  • An interosseous border (only in carnivores)
  • A caudal border
  • A cranial border
  • A lateral border in ungulates.

In horses, the ulna is fused with the radius and his body is considerably small.
