Pericranium
Definition
The pericranium is the periosteum of the bones of the cranium: a membrane that covers the outer surface of the bones, except at the articular surfaces (i.e. the parts within the temporomandibular membrane) at the fresh state.
N.B.: The Endosteum covers the inner surface of the medullary cavity of the long bones.
