Regio interphalangea proximalis

Definition

In Horses, Donkeys and Ruminants, the long pastern bone (Compes) corresponds to the region of the proximal phalanx (Regio phalangis proximalis) called the compedal region (Regio compedis).; it is shrunk in its middle; its palmar surface, that is overlooked by the spur and the dewlap, presents the pastern fold.
