Definition
The stifle (Genu) corresponds to the femoro-tibio-tarsal joint and is equivalent to the human knee. Located between the thigh and the leg, it is found in domestic animals in the immediate vicinity of the belly. The stifle region (Regio genus) is broad and not well delimited.
