Region of common calcaneal tendon

Regio tendinis calcanei communis

Definition

While the muscles of the caudal part of the leg, corresponding to the human calf, are hidden under the muscles of the thigh in most domestic animals, the common calcanear tendon (Tendo calcaneus communis) is the only part that stays superficial. It is the region of common calcanear tendo (Regio tendinis calacanei communis).
