Sphenooccipital crest

The sphenooccipital crest (Crista sphenooccipitalis) is located on sphenooccipital suture, on the caudal border of the endocranial surface of the body of the basisphenoid bone, and is a more or less curved relief that gives attachment to the cerebellum tent and separates more deeply the cerebellar and cerebral parts of the middle cranial cavity.
