Definition
The pancreaticoduodenal nodes are lymph nodes located in the region of the head of pancreas and duodenum and may be divided into two subgroups:
The superior pancreaticoduodenal nodes are located along anterior superior and posterior superior pancreaticoduodenal arteries, on the anterior and posterior surface of the pancreatic head beneath the pancreatic sheath.
The inferior pancreaticoduodenal nodes are located along anterior inferior and posterior inferior pancreaticoduodenal arteries, on the anterior and posterior surface of the pancreatic head beneath the pancreatic sheath.
