Clavicular intersection

Intersectio clavicularis

Definition

The clavicular intersection is a clavicular remmant, visible as a transverse often arched, fibrous intersection, plate or tendon.

In carnivores, it is located into the brachiocephalic muscle, between the cleidobrachial and the cleidocephalic muscles, cranial to the shoulder joint. In horses, the clavicular intersection separates the cleidobrachial muscle form both cleidomastoid and omotransversar muscles.

It may be difficult to demonstrate in bo and horses.
