Cranial deep cervical lymph nodes

Lymphonodi cervicales profundi craniales

Definition

Marjorie Champarou

The cranial deep cervical lymph nodes are found opposite the larynx and along the first rings of trachea

They are inconsistent in the carnivore and ruminants, poorly developed in pig, non existent in rabbit, but somewhat better represented in the horse.

They also drain lymph from the head.
