Parotid lymph center
Lymphocentrum parotideum
Definition
The parotid lymph center is located near the parotid gland (which may partially cover it). It has only one group of lymph nodes, the parotid lymph nodes, which can be divided into superficial or deep parotid lymph nodes. The development of these nodes varies greatly from species to species.
This lymph center drains the cranial regions.
