Definition
The cranial mesenteric lymph center includes the lymph nodes localized along the arteria mesenterica cranialis and its branches. It receives lymph from the viscera supplied by the cranial mesenteric artery, that is, from the entire intestine except for the initial portion of the duodenum, the caudal half of the descending colon, and the rectum:
