Decussatio nervorum trochlearium
Definition
The decussation of the trochlear nerve is the crossing of axons from the motor nucleus of the trochlear nerve in the rostral medullary velum, before their dorsal exit above the rostral cerebellar peduncle, allowing innervation of the contralateral superior oblique muscle of the eye.
