Definition
The distal cranial tibial axis is a landmark used to assess tibial torsion and provide guidance for corrections. It is determined from transverse CT images from the distal aspect of the tibia.
The distal cranial tibial axis is the line tangent to the cranial cortex of the distal tibia, immediately proximal to the tarsocrural joint.
