The transcondylar tibial axis is a landmark used to assess tibial torsion and provide guidance for corrections. It is determined from transverse CT slices for the proximal aspect of the tibia.

The transcondylar tibial axis is defined as the line connecting the caudolateral part of the extensor groove to the tibial insertion of the medial collateral ligament.
