Rostral auricular branches

Rami auriculares rostrales

Definition

Marjorie Champarou

The rostral auricular branches, divisions of the auriculopalpebral nerve with the zygomatic branch, supply the rostral and dorsal auricular muscles.

Its branches mingle with branches of the rostral auricular, zygomaticotemporal, frontal and lacrimal nerves, as well as collateral branches of the zygomatic branch to form the "rostral auricular plexus".
