Auriculopalpebral nerve

Nervus auriculopalpebralis

Definition

Marjorie Champarou

The auriculopalpebral nerve originates on the rostral border of the facial nerve, next to the neck of the mandible. It rises under the parotid gland (or in its thickness) to exit under the zygomatico-auricular muscle, in front of the ear. It then divides into two (if it has not already been done under the parotid gland): the rostral auricular branches and the zygomatic branch.
