Solear border

Margo solearis

Definition

The solar border is the distal border of the distal phalanx, it separates the parietal surface from the solar surface.

The distal end of the solar border is called "apex" in carnivores, pigs and ruminants.

In horses, there is a notch (crena marginis solearis) at the distal end of the solar border.
