Ligamentum longitudinale ventrale
Definition
The ventral longitudinal ligament follows the ventral surfaces of the bodies of the vertebrae. It can be identified from the axis cranially to the sacrum caudally. However, it is best developed from the 7th thoracic vertebra to the sacrum.
