Sinus petrosus ventralis
Definition
The ventral petrosal sinus is a caudal extension of the cavernous sinus and extends to the ventral end of the sigmoid sinus. It is located in the petrooccipital canal and is a caudolateral intraosseous extension of the cavernous sinus.
