Ventricle of heart

A cardiac ventricle is one of the two lower muscular pumping chambers of the heart that receive blood from the atria and eject it into the systemic and pulmonary circulations. The heart contains two ventricles: the right ventricle and the left ventricle, each with distinct anatomical and functional characteristics.
