Paraconal interventricular sulcus

Sulcus interventricularis paraconalis

Definition

Antoine Micheau

The paraconal interventricular sulcus is the external longitudinal groove on the surface of the heart that marks the separation between the right and left ventricles on the auricular surface of the heart. It extends from the coronary (atrioventricular) groove toward the apex of the heart and contains the paraconal interventricular branch of the left coronary artery along with the great cardiac vein.

This term corresponds to the anterior interventricular sulcus in human anatomy.
