Definition
The vertebral arch (or neural arch) forms the vertebral foramen dorsally and laterally (the vertebral body forming the ventral part).
Each vertebral arch is composed by:
Two lateral plates called pedicles of vertebral arch (roots of the arch inserted on the body)
One dorsal plate called lamina of vertebral arch
