Zygomaticofacial branch
Ramus zygomaticofacialis
Definition
The zygomaticofacial branch is the more ventral of the two main branches of the zygomatic nerve. Directed towards the lateral angle of the eye, it delegates a small accessory zygomaticofacial branch before exiting the orbit, bypassing its infraorbital margin and crossing the orbicularis oculi muscle. It innervates the inferior eyelid, its conjunctiva, glands and adjacent skin.
