Pars basalis

Definition

The basal part of the inferior lobar artery of left lung (basal trunk) begins caudal to the origin of the superior segmental artery and gives branches for the basal part of left lower lobe.

 

Branches:

  • Anterior basal segmental artery of left lung (A7)

  • Lateral basal segmental artery of left lung (A8)

  • Medial basal segmental artery of left lung (A9)

  • Posterior basal segmental artery of left lung (A10)
