Fasciculus centralis tendinis extensori digitorum

Definition
The central slip of the tendon of extensor digitorum communis ((medial slip of EDC; extensor medial band) begins at the trifurcation of the extensor digitorum communis tendon at proximal phalanx and inserts on the base of the middle phalanx.
