Definition

Antoine Micheau

The left jugular lymphatic trunk is formed by the confluence of lymphatic vessels that drain the left side of the head and neck.

The left jugular lymphatic trunk typically joins the thoracic duct before it empties into the venous system at the junction of the right internal jugular and subclavian veins, known as the venous angle.

The left jugular lymphatic trunk does not contain valves.
