Right subclavian lymphatic trunk

Truncus lymphaticus subclavius dexter

  • Synonym: Right subclavian trunk; Right subclavian lymph trunk

Definition

Antoine Micheau

The right subclavian lymphatic trunk drains lymph from the right upper limb, right side of the thorax, and right side of the head and neck.

It originates from the medial axillary lymph nodes. It then travels superiorly and medially, and joins with the right jugular lymphatic trunk and the right bronchomediastinal lymphatic trunk to form the right lymphatic duct or may directly empty int the right brachiocepahlic vein at the right venous angle.
