Cardiac notch of right lung
Incisura cardiaca pulmonis dextri
Definition
The right cardiac notch is a normal V-shaped anatomical indentation located on the ventral border of the right lung, at the junction between the cranial and middle lobes. It corresponds to an area where the heart and pericardium are in direct contact with the thoracic wall, without interposition of pulmonary tissue.
