Central lobule
Lobulus centralis
Definition
The central lobule is an unpaired median lobule of the cerebellar vermis and forms part of the rostral lobe of the cerebellum. It is situated between the lingula rostrally and the culmen caudally and corresponds to vermian lobule II. Laterally, it is continuous with the paired wings of the central lobule in the cerebellar hemispheres. Like the other cerebellar lobules, it consists of cerebellar folia formed by cortex surrounding a central core of white matter.
