Cerebellar lingula
Lingula cerebelli
Definition
The cerebellar lingula is the most rostral, unpaired lobule of the cerebellar vermis. It lies immediately rostral to the central lobule and is closely associated with the rostral medullary velum. Its lateral counterpart in each cerebellar hemisphere is the lingual vinculum. Like other cerebellar lobules, it consists of cerebellar folia formed by a core of white matter covered by cerebellar cortex.
