Culmen

Culmen

Definition

Juliette Garnodier

The culmen is a median lobule of the cerebellar vermis forming part of the rostral lobe of the cerebellum. It is situated caudal to the central lobule and rostral to the declive, from which it is separated by the primary fissure. In veterinary anatomical nomenclature, the culmen is divided into rostral and caudal parts. Laterally, it is continuous with the quadrangular lobule of each cerebellar hemisphere.
