Frontal lobe

Lobus frontalis

Definition

Juliette Garnodier

The frontal lobe is the anterior (rostral) part of the cerebral hemisphere, corresponding to the cerebral cortex covering this region.

It is rostral relative to the other lobes, located anterior to the parietal lobe. It is involved in higher functions of the hemisphere, including motor control, decision-making, and other executive functions.
