Intercapital ligament

The intercapital ligament is a part of the intraarticular ligament of head of rib, that runs form the head of one rib, over the dorsal part of the disc, but under the dorsal longitudinal ligament to the head of the opposite rib. The ligament is joined to the intervertebral disc by a synovial membrane and a bursa is interposed between the intercapital ligament and the overlying dorsal longitudinal ligament.
