Intercornual protuberance
Protuberantia intercornualis
Definition
In Bulls, the frontal bones reject the parietal and occipital bones on the nuchal surface of the head and the temporal fossae on the lateral surfaces. The frontal region covers and masks the cranium; it extends caudally until the intercornual protuberance (Protuberancia intercornualis), that is extended between the two cornual processes and limits the nuchal surface dorsally. The external occipital protuberance only forms a soft relief at the superior third of the region.; the nuchal crest is replaced by a soft nuchal line that connects laterally to the temporal crest.
