Kidney lobes

A kidney lobes (renal lobes) consist of a renal pyramid and its cortical cap. Lobation is visible on the developing kidney of al species, but only in bo does ti persist on the surface. It is indicated in other adult mammals by the renal pyramids and interlobar vessels seen in section.
