Lacrimal punctum
Punctum lacrimale
Definition
The lacrimal punctum are two small, elongated openings in the palpebral conjunctiva, near the lacrimal caruncle, which serve as an entrance to the lacrimal canaliculus. They drain tear fluid from the lacrimal lake and thus from the eye.
