Lateral glossoepiglottic fold

The lateral glossoepiglottic fold is a mucosal fold that extend from the lateral aspect of the tongue root, to the lateral aspect of the epiglottis. This fold laterally delimits the epiglottic vallecula, the median boundary being the median glossoepiglottic fold.
