Definition
The longus colli muscle has two kinds of muscle attachments.
There is the ones of the thoracic part, on the body of the thoracic vertebrae following the first one and on the caudal tubercle of the sixth cervical transverse process.
And the ones of the cervical part, on the ventral face of the transverse process of the cervical vertebrae, with a convergence of the bundles on the ventral tubercle of the atlas.
