Mandibular lymph nodes

Lymphonodi mandibulares

Definition

Marjorie Champarou

The mandibular lymph nodes are located near the angle of mandible (carnivores, pig) or the notch for facial vessels (ruminants, horse).

They are easily palpable, especially in case of inflammation, because they are separated from the skin only by the platysma.
