Definition
The orbital surface of the zygomatic bone is its medial surface. It contributes to the formation of the lateral and ventral walls of the orbit and is delimited from the lateral surface by the infraorbital margin.
It is generally smooth, sometimes traversed by small grooves or foramina for the passage of orbital vessels and nerves.
