Rima palpebrarum
Definition
The palpebral fissure (Rima palpebrarum) is the opening between the two eyelids that protects the bulb of the eye (Bulbus occuli): the superior eyelid (Palpebra superior) and the inferior (Palpebra inferior); incidentally the third eyelid.
