Pars parvocellularis
Definition
The parvocellular part of the red nucleus is the rostral small-cell region, which receives afferents from the contralateral dentate nucleus of the cerebellum and the somatosensory cortex, and projects to the ventrolateral thalamus and the nucleus olivaris via the central tegmental tract.
