Definition
The pericardial pleura is the portion of the mediastinal pleura that covers and adheres to the external surface of the fibrous pericardium.
Together with the fibrous pericardium and the parietal layer of the serous pericardium, it forms a thin and resilient wall separating the pleural cavity from the pericardial cavity.
